Trust

On Set DIT, Digital Dailies

About

Trust is the brainchild of writer Simon Beaufoy and director Danny Boyle and follows the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III in Rome in 1973. He was the grandson of J. Paul Getty, the richest man in the world at the time, and heir to the Getty fortune.

In spite of his untold wealth, J. Paul Getty does not seem to be interested in paying the ransom to get his grandson back. The drama follows the story of kidnapping and the ensuing attempts to get him back – without paying the money!

An FX Production, to be shown in FX in America and Sky in the United Kingdom, Trust was shot on RED Weapon cameras at 8K resolution by cinematographer Chris Ross, along with Mission Digital’s Thomas Patrick working as the On Set DIT (with Ash Daniyan as the On Set DIT on additional units)

Mission Digital was also in charge of the Digital Dailies Lab for the shoot, which considering the schedule dictated for different units shooting in different countries, was no small feat. Running two different labs at two separate locations at any given time, technicians Julia Roestel, Ram Tripathi, Jerome Smith and Josh Unwin worked incessantly to keep the digital workflow running smoothly.
