Driver / Junior Workshop Technician
Mission is expanding. Our DIT, digital dailies and video playback services have never been in greater demand, and to continue offering the same unique level of support, guidance and innovation that we’ve become synonymous with, we’re looking to recruit a new entry level role as a member of our Workshop and Kit Building team.
This role will be based at our West London Office, near Ladbroke Grove.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will work a 35 hour working week (with a flexible approach to hours) at Mission’s office in W10. This is where the behind the scenes work goes on, building, designing, planning and delivering our bespoke DIT, Video Playback and Digital Dailies Lab systems. You will begin by delivering our equipment to a variety of film sets, studios and rental houses as well as getting to meet our ever-growing team of industry established DIT’s and Video Playback Technicians. From there you will progress to building our fleet of rigs, as well as supporting and constantly thinking about ways to improve the experience of technicians and productions.
This role is an entry-level position and would suit a technically minded recent graduate or industry junior.
Mission is both fast-paced and forever evolving, and we’re passionate about hiring people who thrive in that environment. The successful candidate will be happy to turn their hand to whatever is needed to help keep things running smoothly.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’ll need you to fulfil the following requirements:
An interest in the technical side of the film/TV production industry
Computer literate with an interest in a variety of technologies
An organised and methodical approach to your work
Ability to work well under pressure
Legal entitlement to live and work in the UK
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work on own initiative as well as under instruction and part of a team
Please note: whilst having experience in the industry is always a bonus, we’re keen to hear from people from all backgrounds and experiences. What’s important to us is finding a person who can fulfil the above and work with our existing team, whether or not they have industry experience.
Mission aims to be an equal opportunities employer and we are determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, or race. In addition we are keen to increase diversity at every level of our organisation, in order to better reflect both our client base and the communities we serve. We particularly welcome and encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates as BAME people are currently under-represented within the film and TV industry.
In return, you’ll get to work with a dedicated and friendly team, and be involved in some of the most exciting digital film projects currently being shot both here in the UK and abroad.
We’ll offer you a competitive rate, as well as the opportunity to learn all about what we do. At Mission we love to help people grow and expand their roles, and we’re happy to support you in achieving your career ambitions. If you’re prepared to work hard, we’ll take good care of you too.
HOW TO APPLY
If you’d like to apply for this role, please forward your CV and covering letter to us at email@example.com . We’d also like to hear what your favourite film or TV series is, and why. Please also fill out the equality monitoring form by clicking here.
