Mission’s expansion is continuing. Our DIT, digital dailies and video playback services have never been in greater demand, and to continue offering the same unique level of support, guidance and innovation that we’ve become synonymous with, we’re looking to recruit a new face for our team in our Data IO department. 

 

This role will be based at our new facility located at Shepperton Studios, starting May/June 2021.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

 

As our DIT and digital dailies service offerings expand to meet the demands of a booming industry, we’re looking to recruit a Data IO Operator to be the bridge between our Technicians, digital dailies labs and Production. This role has been well established, but is forever growing. We are looking to add to our current system whilst we benefit with someone’s external experience, individuality and unique perspective.

 

Mission’s data IO team is a small but fast growing department, tasked with supporting some of the biggest film and drama productions shooting in the UK and abroad.

 

With a passion for technology and efficiency, this job is well suited to someone who enjoys being hands on with professional computer hardware, software and media management tools. 

 

Our data IO team is looking to grow further over the coming months and as a result we need someone with strong interpersonal skills and team spirit.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
 

We’ll need you to fulfil the following requirements:

 

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in a post-production/ offline editing environment

  • Solid understanding of professional post-production technology

  • Knowledge of LTO hardware and media transfer software

  • Capable of sound syncing

  • Experience converting files using tools like Davinci Resolve and Colorfront Onset Dailies

  • Knowledge of an offline/ online conforming workflow

  • Experience delivering files for VFX with correct media and metadata

  • Knowledge of secure accelerated file transfer software

  • A helpful, can-do attitude with a natural desire to improve workflow

  • A practical approach to technical problem solving and managing complex logistics

  • An excellent command of both written and spoken English

  • Ability to produce excellent documentation, clear and concise illustration of the workflow

  • Outstanding client service skills, in person, over the phone and email

  • An organised and methodical approach to your work, the ability to organise others

  • Can schedule and plan ahead workloads and logistics

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Legal entitlement to live and work in the UK

  • Has a full driving licence

  • Live within a reasonable commute to our Shepperton office
