BAFTA, Oscar and Golden Globe award-winning feature The Theory of Everything is a masterpiece of filmmaking. Combining the heart-wrenching story of Stephen’s Hawking’s younger years with the striking talent of Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, this film received an outstandingly positive reception worldwide upon its release.
Mission Digital worked in close collaboration with cinematographer Benoît Delhomme to create the look for Theory. The stakes were high, as Delhomme explains, “Previously to working digitally with a team like Mission, I recall spending a lot of time reassuring directors they needed to trust me that the final result will be exactly what they expected.”
“A colour technician and DIT team are just as important to me as a gaffer. In the past, the lab was so disconnected from the shoot that it was really difficult to get dailies. On set DITs have changed this process completely.”
