A Discovery Of Witches

On Set DIT, Digital Dailies

About

Adapted from the best-selling 2011 romantic fantasy novel by Deborah Harkness, A Discovery of Witches promises to be an exciting supernatural romantic TV series. It stars Teresa Palmer as a history professor and reluctant witch, and Matthew Goode as a geneticist and secret century-old vampire Matthew Clairmont. It tells a story of a witch and a vampire – who have both kept their true natures a secret – meeting and falling in love. It is an excellent love story that also explores the world of science and magic.

Season one of the drama series has 8 episodes, shot by cinematographers Petra Korner, Christophe Nuyens, and Suzie Lavelle. Our DIT Harry Bennett-Snewin handled the On Set duties, while Luke Williams ran the Digital Lab from Mission Digital Wales in Penarth.

As the flagship project of Bad Wolf, and the first ever to be shot at Wolf Studios in Cardiff, A Discovery of Witches is not to be missed and signals a turning point for Welsh-based productions.
