Save the Cinema

On Set DIT, Video Playback, Digital Dailies, Easel Online Dailies

About

Based on a true story and set in 1993, Save the Cinema tells the story of Liz Evans, a hairdresser and leader of a youth theatre, who began a campaign to save the Lyric Theatre in Wales from closure. Liz works closely with a local councillor, trying to get help from the renowned director Steven Spielberg.

Mission Cymru supplied several services to help bring Save the Cinema to life. Luke Williams supported DOP Hamish Doyne Ditmas by fulfilling On Set DIT Duties whilst, also on set, Alex Dias provided Video Playback. Digital Dailies were handled by Lab Operator Matt Williams, and Save the Cinema also used Mission’s online dailies review platform, Easel.
