The golden rule for data safety. Three clones, on at least two media types, with at least one clone at another location. These policies are designed to mitigate against loss by accidental deletion, hardware failure, corruption, or disasters. At least one of these clones should be archival and all should have matching checksums. Lower resolution proxies do not count as clones.
