The Kelvin scale is used to describe the color temperature of white light. The temperature in Kelvin that a perfect black body object would be to radiate that shade of white. Lower temperatures are redder and higher temperatures are bluer. D65 (daylight) is 6500 Kelvin, written as 6500K.
