LTO

An archival tape format used in banking and industry as well as motion pictures. High capacity data tape is regularly revised for better access and higher capacity. Tapes should be migrated about every 3 generations. Mission can do that for you :-). LTO-9 is the lastest generation, which stores 18TB uncompressed. LTO-8 is still more common for dailies archiving as it has a capacity of 12TB uncompressed, which is usually ample for one to two days of shooting.
