OCF
Original Camera File
The raw, unprocessed footage from the camera that serves as the foundation for post-production, offering the highest possible quality for color grading, editing, and VFX. Since this data is captured to specialist camera media, and typically needs transcoding to be seen and used, this data needs to be archived, transcoded and usually copied to a dailies format as soon as possible. For security a 3:2:1 policy is normally adopted. OCN is sometimes used to mean OCF.
