About
Black Cake is a globetrotting murder mystery and family drama split between the past and the present. After her husband is mysteriously murdered in the 1960s, Covey disappears into the surf off the coast Jamaica and is feared dead...or on the run as the culprit.
In present day California, the now Eleanor Bennett passes away and leaves her two distant children behind a flash drive that holds details of her journey from the Caribbean to America. These stories shock her children, and challenge everything they thought they knew about their family’s origin.
