Cats

Cats is a star-studded musical fantasy, based on the hugely successful Andrew Lloyd-Webber musical, which in itself was based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. Directed by Tom Hooper, it’s a production on a massive scale and employing some truly cutting edge visual effects.

Production took place at Leavesden Studios between December 2018 and April 2019 with cinematographer Christopher Ross BSC shooting with multiple ARRI ALEXA 65 cameras, with DIT Thomas Patrick working alongside him. Alec Garner and Patrick King operated the digital lab near-set and Mission supplied VFX pulls to the many companies around the world working on the visual effects.
