Maryland
On Set DIT
About
Maryland began as a stage play at The Royal Court Theatre, written by Lucy Kirkwood in just 48 hours following the high profile murders of several women. After its first performance, acclaimed director Brian Hill worked with Lucy to bring the story to screen.
The short follows two women named Mary who meet at a police station following their respective assaults by the same man. Supported by a cast of Furies, we are faced with the injustices women are met with not just in the events of the film, but also in the wider world.
Mission DIT Joe Lovelock performed On Set DIT Duties on this powerful short.
