This October, the BFI London Film Festival (8–19 Oct) is alive with extraordinary storytelling and we’re proud to see so many films we’ve supported on the programme.
From Daniel Day-Lewis’s much-anticipated return to the screen, to bold reimaginings of classics, this year’s line-up reflects the kind of ambitious, diverse projects we love to support.
Here’s our guide to the Mission-supported films at #LFF2025 as well as information on screenings and theatrical release dates.
Read to the end to see how you can enjoy the LFF even if you are nowhere near London!
Anemone
Dir: Ronan Day-Lewis. Cast: Daniel Day-Lewis, Sean Bean, Samantha Morton.
Marking Daniel Day-Lewis’s highly anticipated return to screen, Anemone is a vivid exploration of family ties. All the more poignant as it is directed by his son, Ronan Day-Lewis.
Estranged brothers reunite in a remote cabin and confront generational trauma in a film already tipped for awards.
Joe Lovelock joined the production team as DIT, working alongside the brilliant DOP, Ben Fordesman BSC, to support the brooding, ethereal cinematography of the movie. Alec Garner took over the DIT role in last couple of weeks.
Ivan Kadelburg and Alex Dias also supported the 2nd unit with video playback on stunt sequences.
LFF Screening from: Tue 14 Oct at BFI Southbank NFT1 and other locations
Full theatrical release: Friday, 10th October in cinemas nationwide
After the Hunt
After the Hunt is the chilling new thriller from acclaimed director Luca Guadagnino, starring Julia Roberts in what critics are already calling one of her most powerful performances to date.
From the first setup to the final shot, After the Hunt is a masterclass in psychological tension and Mission is proud to have played a part behind the scenes.
Mission’s very own Ivan Kadelburg supported the production with video playback, helping ensure the director and creative team had instant, accurate visual reference at every turn.
The cast and crew received a 6-minute standing ovation at Venice Film Festival and opened the New York Film Festival last month, so we really can’t wait to see this on the big screen!
LFF Screening from: Sat 18 Oct, Curzon Mayfair
Full theatrical release: Friday 17th October in cinemas nationwide

Giant
Giant tells the real-life story of world champion boxer Prince Naseem ‘Naz’ Hamed and his trainer, Brendan Ingle. Starring Amir El-Masry and Pierce Brosnan, the film charts Hamed’s rise from 1980s/90s Sheffield — confronting racism and Islamophobia along the way — to global boxing stardom, shaped by his unlikely but transformative partnership with Ingle.
Mission’s Joe Lovelock was the DIT working with DOP Larry Smith.
The LFF screening is the world premiere of the film that is slated for full release in Q1 of 2026.
LFF Screening from: Sun 12 Oct, Vue West End
Full theatrical release: 9th January 2026

Hedda
Dir: Nia DaCosta. Cast: Tessa Thompson, Nina Hoss, Imogen Poots.
Nia DaCosta (Candyman) boldly reimagines Ibsen’s classic in mid-century England. Tessa Thompson delivers a mesmerising performance as Hedda, a woman whose hunger for freedom strains every relationship around her.
Mission was pleased to support the production with a near-set lab and bespoke internet solution, ensuring editorial files made it into edit swiftly with no interruptions.
LFF Screening from: Sat 11 Oct, Curzon Mayfair
Streaming release: Available on Prime Video from 29th October

The History of Sound
Dir: Oliver Hermanus. Cast: Paul Mescal, Josh O’Connor.
A decades-spanning romance about two men whose bond over folk music takes them across America after WWI. Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor shine in this poignant love story.
Mission contributed to the London Unit of the production.

Full theatrical release: In UK cinemas nationwide from January 2026
