Our 2025 Year in Review: A Year of Innovation and Exceptional Storytelling

Updated: Dec 18, 2025

At the start of 2025, we declared this would be the year we would #ThriveIn25.

After a turbulent few years for the industry, we knew recovery would be gradual. And while the sector hasn’t fully returned to previous highs, one thing has remained unwavering: the quality of storytelling.

For Mission Digital, 2025 has been a year of creativity, innovation, and proud contributions to extraordinary productions. Here’s a look back at some of the moments that defined it.

A Standout Year for Cinematic Releases

This year saw the arrival of several remarkable films we’ve supported over the past few years.

Anemone — Opening Film of EnergaCAMERIMAGE

A landmark moment: Anemone not only marked Daniel Day-Lewis’ return to filmmaking but also opened the 33rd EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival.

The Running Man

A powerful, energetic reimagining of Stephen King’s dystopian story - ambitious in scale, bold in execution, and thrilling to support. Anthony Dias was the DIT with Vanessa Heyn on Data.

Festival Success

We were proud to see five Mission-supported films showcased at the BFI London Film Festival:

  • Anemone

  • After the Hunt

  • Giant

  • Hedda

  • The History of Sound

These films represent the craft, passion, and collaboration at the heart of our work.

A Milestone Moment: Mission’s First Live TV Event

June brought a significant first as we supported Soccer Aid, our debut in live broadcast workflows.

Mission Digital was entrusted with a pivotal role:

  • enabling real-time editorial access for 10 editors,

  • to footage from 17 cameras,

  • across a multi-day schedule culminating in the live match.

At the centre of it all was Christopher Blythe and SceneVault, our high-performance NAS solution, providing the beating heart of the workflow and delivering speed, stability, and instant access when it mattered most.

Innovation at Pace: New Tools, New Capabilities

Mission Gateway — Fast, Resilient Internet Wherever the Shoot Goes

We launched Mission Gateway, our bonded, high-speed mobile internet service designed for modern productions that need fast, resilient connectivity wherever the shoot takes them— from remote landscapes to moving vehicles to pop-up locations.

HDR Vivid: Mission Becomes the UK’s First Certified Facility

Our Shepperton Screening Room now features a striking 77" HDR Vivid display, making Mission the first HDR Vivid-certified facility in the UK and elevating review workflows with unparalleled colour clarity.

A Huge Thank You

To all our customers, partners, collaborators, and friends — thank you for your trust, creativity, and partnership throughout the year. We are genuinely honoured to work alongside you.

And to our extraordinary Mission team, thank you for your relentless dedication, ingenuity, and passion.

Season’s Greetings & Here’s to 2026

From all of us at Mission Digital, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy, and successful 2026.

Here’s to thriving together in the year ahead!
